Any very soft, washable yarn will do nicely. Some knitters have used Berocco "Chinchilla" yarn, which washes well many times and keeps its shape, and feels very soft and luxurious on the head. Please use colors and yarns that you like knitting with, and you think others will enjoy wearing.
